I am a governance specialist who has been working in and around social housing since my first working day as a housing trainee in 1982. Before setting up 21CHG, I was Head of Governance at Altair, where I had been a consultant since 2011. Prior to that I was an Assistant Director at Tribal Group, again focusing on strategy and governance in the not for profit sector.
My professional engagement with ICT, data and systems stems from my period working as an ICT professional, firstly as a consultant project and programme manager at ICL Fujitsu and then as Head of IT and IS at William Sutton Trust, at the time one of the largest associations in England.
I have also been a non-executive director in the social housing sector for close on twenty years. I was Chair at Christian Action HA in North London, then Vice-Chair at Shaftesbury Housing Group, then Chair at Lee Housing before my latest (and current) engagement as a non-executive at Sapphire Independent Housing. I also love a good Audit Committee!
Whilst I have worked successfully with some of the largest associations in the country, my heart, both as a non-executive and advisor, stays with the smaller community-focussed associations.
Over the years I have worked with a number of extremely talented individuals, genuinely expert in their fields. If you need more than governance and strategy advice, let me know and I will more than likely know somebody with the right skills and experience for you.
